So You Think You Can Faceplant

This kid, apparently a somewhat orthodox Jew, does a seriously painful looking face plant while auditioning for the show, "So You Think You Can Dance".
Although her doesn't appear to be too hurt by it, it looks awful. And yet, I can't help laughing my butt off everytime I see it.

Cash Advance Loans

I am not really a big fan of these types of loans, as they can be dangerous for people who are so short of money that they need such a cash advance loan, but I can see their benefits. If you are in desparate need, as in, "going to shut your water off" need, then I can see how Payday Cash Advance Loans would be beneficial.

Florida

I grew up in in Florida. Lived there since I was 5. Lived in Miami until 1997 when we moved to Orlando. THere are many things I love about Florida. The weather is great and I love the beach. I never got there as often as I'd like though. I'd love to have been able to invest in Florida properties, it's a developer's dream out there. I do miss parts of Miami more than Orlando, probabl only because that's where I grew up.

Cajun Restaurants

Being a Cajun, I'm quite partial to Cajun cooking. Though no one could ever make an etoufee quite like gramma's, there are some restaurants that make a decent version of it.
Here's a small, but informative article on Cajun restaurants. There are a few good Louisiana restaurants listed.

Dubai - Jewel of the Middle East?

Dubai is experiencing amazing growth. I am not quite sure what dynamic is at work here, but Dubai is not only building some of the coolest and most glamorous buildings in the world, they are actually building land! There are two giant islands shaped like palm trees being built at this moment.

It's also the home of the Burj al Arab, the coolest hotel ever. Shaped like a giant sail, Tiger Woods hit some balls off the vertigo-inducing helicopter pad a few years back.
Donald Trump is building in the palm Dubai as well.

A Perfect Circle

No, not the band. Apparently there is a competition held in Vegas for people who can draw perfect circles freehand. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about this being all that impressive, but when you see him do it, you can't help but be amazed.

Paula Abdul is the Perfect Spokesperson

The Fox station in Seattle had a live interview with Paula Abdul to promote American Idol, and ... let's just say she seems to have gotten an early start. I know it's 4 hours difference in Washington, but c'mon, it must be at least 10am in New York...

According to her publicist and friends, Abdul was not drunk, merely exhausted. Sooo, those times we saw her in public and on the show, obviously under the influence of something other than lack of sleep, she was just tired? Yeah.

"But Abdul's spokesman, Jeff Ballard, denied that was under the influence of alcohol or on some kind of medication and said the U.S. performer never drank.

Ballard said the interview was one of the last in a string of question-and-answer sessions she had done over two hours on Thursday ahead of a new season of "American Idol," debuting next week on the Fox network.

"She was exhausted. This was at the end of three days of press (interviews and appearances), and she has had cameras following her around for a reality TV show too," said Ballard, referring to a new documentary series about the star's life.

"She was sitting in a room with just a camera and a mic on, and the controllers dropped the sound twice, which is why she rolled her eyes."

Ballard said Abdul, 44, had canceled all media interviews on Friday because she had a sore throat after sitting in the chilly studio on Thursday.

"She never drinks. I have known Paula Abdul since she was 13, and I have never seen her drink ever in my life. ... And no, she is not on any kind of medication," he said. "She was a little tired."

Mhmmmmm...

Postie Patrol #3

Of course, my Postie Patrol will always be the best, but this latest one was pretty interesting. I always liked the idea of a scavenger hunt. This time they went to Chicago for the challenge and it looked like a lot of fun. All except for the shot of Ted in the shorts! I only have one beef. She got $1000!!! I wanna be another Postie Patrol! I wonder if there's a waiting period to do it again.
I actually recognized several of the spots in Chicago from when I was there last year. Anyway, here's the vid! Check it out and join today!
