The Ultimate Gift

The Ultimate Gift is the new film featuring the star of the immensely popular independent film, Little Miss Sunshine, Abigail Breslin. The story is a pretty interesting one:

"When his wealthy grandfather dies, trust fund baby Jason Stevens anticipates a big inheritance. Instead, his grandfather has devised a crash course on life with twelve tasks – or “gifts” – designed to challenge Jason in improbable ways, sending him on a journey of self-discovery and forcing him to determine what is most important in life: money or happiness."

Based on a book, which has inspired a grass roots movement of teen philanthropy called "A Show of Hands", The Ultimate Gift is setting up for its own grass roots movement for the film, hoping to reach an even larger audience.

This is the official site of the movie "The Ultimate Gift" and the grass-roots movement its starting to help charities and give to others.

Though the film reminds me of Pay It Forward in its basic concept, the storyline seems deeper and more relevent. Unlike Pay It Forward, which I do think had hoped to inspire an altruistic sea-change, The Ultimate Gift actually seems to have the potential to do just that.
